Mi primera experiencia / My first experience (Parte 2)

Cuando llegué a Irlanda comenzaron las anécdotas, la "host mum" me llamó para comentarme que iba a llegar un poco tarde y que fuera a una zona del aeropuerto para recogerme. Claramente la cobertura era mala, así que yo entendí otra zona. Total que estuve más de una hora esperando en un sitio, fui observada y mirada con mala cara por la gente de control, estuve intentando llamar a la "host mum" pero no tenía ni idea de los códigos, hasta que me dio por entrar de nuevo a la zona de llegadas y la vi a la pobre hablando con un policía. Me habían estado llamando por megafonía, jejeje, ahora me río pero fue un momento algo tenso.

When I arrived to Ireland the anecdotes started, the host mum phoned me to tell me she will be late and she told me to go to an area to pick me up. Clearly the signal wasn't good, so I understood antoher area. Finally I was watting more than a hour waiting for her, the control agent looked at me rarely, I was trying to call her but I didn't have any idea about the call code, until the moment I decided to go inside and I saw her talking to a policeman. She was calling me by speaker, jejeje, now I make fun about it but it was a tense moment.

Después de todo eso nos fuimos para casa, comentando lo pasado y como me había ido el viaje y además comentamos las cosas del niño etc etc.

Then we went home talking about all that happened, how was my flight and about more things like the boy.

Cuando llegué a casa me instalé en mi cuarto, comenzamos a preparar la cena y cuando vino el marido nos sentamos a cenar y a hablar.

Después de la cena les dí los regalos que traje, comida típica de mi tierra y para el niño un cuento en español.

Later I arrived home, I left everything in my room, we started to make the dinner and when the husband arrived we started to hace dinner and to speak.

After dinner I gave then my presents, like tipycal food from my country, and for the boy some spanish books

Con el paso de los días y semanas fui cogiendo más confianza tanto con la familia como con el niño, y durante los fin de semanas pude hacer babysitting en otra familia con dos niñas.

Conocí a otras Au pairs, tanto en las clases de inglés como por otras Au pairs.

When the days and weeks passed I started to feel more confident with all the family, with the boy and suring the weekends I could do babysitting to other family with 2 girls.

I met other Aupairs from my English lessoons or by other girls.

Esta experiencia en realidad me sirvió para muchas cosas, crecí como persona, me vi capacitada de hacer cosas que antes creía imposible, fui capaz de cuidar tanto de un niño como hacerme cargo de las tareas domesticas.

This experience gave me many things, I grow up as a person, I could see my capacity to do things that before I thought impossibles, I had the necessary capacity to take care of a boy and be responsible of house stuff.
